Church kneelers show the serpent lurking in his apple tree and \noah comforted by a rainbow. An obedient whale waits for instruction. A gloomy Jonah waits to arrive at Nineveh. The Trinity is symbolised by three fishes and a number of the Apostles by their emblems.
