St Lawrence

Church kneelers show the cross and various patterns and then depict a splendid variety of flowers from garden and hedgerow.

Click on the first image to see the full length of the altar rail kneeler showing  the church’s Norman arches intertwined with its Gothic arches.  The kneeler was made by stitchers sitting round the embroidery frame – in the churchyard in sunny weather – preceding or following lunch in the village-owned pub on the far side of the village green.
