Church kneelers here are among the most splendid in the country. The project to create them grew out of the sense of achievement felt on the re-building of the bombed church and boosted by the optimism brought about by the Coronation of the young Queen.
The kneelers record those killed in the bombing, those executed by Henry VIII, parishioners great, good and humble, and saints and clergy from the church’s long history.
