Langford Budville, Somerset
Church kneelers portray the church, its cat, Jasper, and various of its features. The village inn and houses are recorded together with local – and exotic – animals and birds.
At the bottom of the first page, a Hebrew inscription quotes from Joshua, chap. 24, v. 15: “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”
The second page leads with a tribute to Somerset cider and follows with a representation of the village blacksmith at work. It concludes with tributes to the wartime RAF and to the Baluch Regiment, one of only two Indian regiments recorded on this website.
